Minister of Media Launches New Strategy and Identity of the General Authority of Media Regulation

Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, who is also chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Media Regulation, launched on Monday the strategy and identity of the General Authority of Media Regulation, following the Cabinet's decision approving the organization of the authority.
According to its new strategy, the authority seeks to lead the media sector in the Kingdom towards a leading position at the regional and international levels, raise its investment attractiveness, and enhance the efficiency of its national cadres.
The strategy aims to raise the media sector's contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) to reach SAR47 billion by 2030, based on the rich opportunities of the sector that can be seized to diversify the national economy and increase the non-oil GDP in the Kingdom.
